The internetz is a big place. So how do you find what you need and fast? Well first of all you need to know what you're looking for. Then you look at
how you would get it.
Direct Downloads are plain a simple, any web browser can be used to save files from your standard download link, many are from file sharing sites such as rapidshare/megaupload/mediafire. P2P (LimeWire, Torrents) is more of the black market sector of the internet can find almost everything you want here.
Most of the stuff people want these days can be easily found using google. For example, if I was ever looking for a song I would use this mask "site:mediafire.com mp3|wma". This tells google that I want a file with .mp3 or .wma suffix and located on mediafire. I used 'poker face' as an example and it turned well over 89 results. That took less than 10 seconds and you only don't need anything else apart from your basic web browser.
Often blogs/forums usually links the user to file sharing sites as they do not have the bandwidth require to host their own files, but if the file has a large size it often be split into seperate parts which is an annoyance. Well if you 2-3 links its fine, what if you're downloading your favorite TV series which has 20+ links then it can be a pain.
Thats where RapGet comes in, copy the list of links and import it in RagGet and it does the rest. Once a download finishes it will automatically start the next one in queue. Automated, I like it :D. Theres also programs like CryptLoad for downloading off rapidshare. Programs like these save time and ultimately makes our lives much easier.
I actually have no idea why I posted this but I must've been
really bored I guess. Internet is a big place, know where to look and it won't take long to find what you want.
