wii solderless chip ftw

I recently ordered a FlatMii from Ozmodchips on Tuesday afternoon. The package arrived early Wednesday morning, express post ftw.

The chip is an solderless installation which uses the USB interface, which means no need to burn game isos onto DVD disks but it also means you'll need a computer next to your wii if you want to load games. This is more efficient in the long run and saves the pain of burning/taking care of your disks. If you really want to use disks I recommend DriveKey which is the solderless installation of your standard wii chip.

The YouTube DIY installation video could have been more informative but it was a fairly easy installation nonetheless. Now it is the time to whore wii games with my unlimited internetz.

OH AND I GOTS HAIRCUTS, nice and short now :).

excellent

Latest Toradora episode was excellent. The new opening for Toradora was nicely done. As the first opening was unbearable. Many new extraordinary discoveries were revealed while leading towards the final arc of the series. Also I found a list of the anime series arriving in spring; I see a few must watch series but usually end up watching them all anyway ><.

Australia got smashed again, by South Africa in their 5th ODI(One Day International). South Africa was also trialing their new recruits, as already won the 3 games required to secure the series. The new South African players were full of win, with their debut bowler Tsotsobe showing an expectational level of skill.

Australia was knocked off their place as the number one world ranked team as an adverse effect of this series. South Africa evaluates to the number one position and clearly deserves it.

And for all you tennis fans, Federer ain't playing, therefore there ain't any epic shit worth watching hence I watched the cricket.

blackouts, heatwave,

Losing electricity three flipping times on a 40+ degree day makes you rage. And that I did. Thankfully the blackouts only lasted 20/30 minutes tops, makes you feel better after watching the news and realizing areas such as Glen Iris lost power for a full 14 hours. Sucks to be them :).

Its quite uncanny at how the blackouts strikes when it hurts. Like I was one blink strike away from teamdown then bam power gone q_q.

At 7pm, when my four sided clock from smiggle showed the room temperture was fucking 43 degrees I figured I might as well go to the pool to cool off after the second blackout.

When I got there I figured EVERYONE WOULD FUCKING HAVE THAT IDEA TOO. I barely got a cubic metre of space to myself and swimming lengths while dodging obsticles shows true skill.

The belmore/balwyn intersection without traffic lights was lmao. This asian lady powered through and almost collided with some taxi. She came to a sudden stop then the spamming of the car horn and swearing in your native language began.

The moment I got back the power came back, yay. Then it went off 5 minutes later and come on again. Fucking heatwaves.

chinese new year

The group and I confluenced at maccas, box hill for the chinese new year festival. Most of us were enticed by the chance to socialize with hot chicks. However for most of us the cake was a lie.

During the next 5 hours, the group and I walked bristly through the crowded streets of box hill stopping momentarily to greet friends and for some of us, hot chicks. The highlights of the day included how the Bank West mascot, some dog decided to leave me hanging while rubbing it in my face afterwards, dogged by a dog.

Tiongren and Xiao also showed the group the potency their womanizing skills. Tiongren also emanated guts through an couragious act in which lead to many laughs and his constant inability to be punctual. Justin decided to leave early after noticing he has work early next morning.

We didn't do shit all apart from walking around in circles in box hill until we followed some chicks into a fenced area with festival stuff. Finally we decided to spend 6$ on a single ride.

If it were about 30 minutes longer it would have been worth my 6$. Should have followed Victor and jumped ship before my 6$ was gone :(. We left for home after the ride and got a lift from Cary's parents. Then I blogg'd the night, before realizing my tution is at 10am tommorow, fuck.

useful sites;

Many of my friends and I are starting our final year of high school. Here are some resources that you may find useful;

iTute: Probably one of the most useful sites around for VCE, free maths/physics notes and a place to look for tutors for ALL SUBJECTS. It'll lists the tutors by subject along with their qualifications, teaching experience and other stuff like that. Very useful for people that don't have hand-me-down tutors from older siblings.

VCAA: VCAA homepage, study designs of all VCE subjects and course changes. Useful I guess. Always good to know what your exactly susposed to study incase your teacher is an epic fail and gets it totally wrong.

Bored of studies: A community of past, present and future VCE/HSC students. Very useful for the amount of resources they have arcoss all subjects as well as the first hand experience.

FREE Ventrilo: For an intelligent discussion about an theme portrayed in the english novel with your friends in real time... or your 80 man strong guild taking down some big bad boss.

wii ftw

As I totally forgot about my sisters birthday last year, I've commited myself to get her an early birthday present this year. There is always the golden rule when getting presets for family members that you live with and that is; get something you'll enjoy yourself, since sharing is caring. So while browsing the internetz I came across this awesome Suzumiya Haruhi wii dance game:

Although this game won't turn you into some epic dancer, it can help lose that extra kilogram or two (maybe three?) that you picked up over the holidays. With its stunning tb graphics and dance moves it'll make any eleven year old happy and I get to learn how to dance like a tard too.

TRAP.

As an adolescent teenager undergoing puberty I cannot resist the urge to look for eye candy through fashion magazines, blogs, google image search and other websites. Much to my surprise I have found that I cannot trust my own perception. In the digital age, with only a few clicks on photoshop, a touch of make up on a photo, can completely transform it. This is the first trap I fell for. Here are some before/after shots:

Yes I know those pictures are old and you probably saw them somewhere the internetz already. But those are prime examples that show the true potential of make up and digital enhancements. It isn't surprisingly though as the cosmetic industry is worth something around 19 billion dollars. If make up can change a person that much then its money well spent. :D

Treasure Hunting

The internetz is a big place. So how do you find what you need and fast? Well first of all you need to know what you're looking for. Then you look at how you would get it.

Direct Downloads are plain a simple, any web browser can be used to save files from your standard download link, many are from file sharing sites such as rapidshare/megaupload/mediafire. P2P (LimeWire, Torrents) is more of the black market sector of the internet can find almost everything you want here.

Most of the stuff people want these days can be easily found using google. For example, if I was ever looking for a song I would use this mask "site:mediafire.com mp3|wma". This tells google that I want a file with .mp3 or .wma suffix and located on mediafire. I used 'poker face' as an example and it turned well over 89 results. That took less than 10 seconds and you only don't need anything else apart from your basic web browser.

Often blogs/forums usually links the user to file sharing sites as they do not have the bandwidth require to host their own files, but if the file has a large size it often be split into seperate parts which is an annoyance. Well if you 2-3 links its fine, what if you're downloading your favorite TV series which has 20+ links then it can be a pain.

Thats where RapGet comes in, copy the list of links and import it in RagGet and it does the rest. Once a download finishes it will automatically start the next one in queue. Automated, I like it :D. Theres also programs like CryptLoad for downloading off rapidshare. Programs like these save time and ultimately makes our lives much easier.

I actually have no idea why I posted this but I must've been really bored I guess. Internet is a big place, know where to look and it won't take long to find what you want.

1440 hours worth

So I've spent at least two glorious months of my life watching anime, just how much is that? That made me wonder so I created a list:

Completed Series:

Incomplete Series: (Actually some of these are complete, just didn't have the time to move the folders)

That is roughly 4032 episodes over 200 or so series :D. If reckon if I dedicated half of that time, studying I probably won't be stressing over year 12 like I am now.

Ragnarok! memories.

Another draining lecture of specialist maths made me realize how my basic math skills deteriorated over the holidays. Weather was craptastic, wind was hot enough to burn your skin.

But on a good note I found an uber awesome tb game ;D. A classic arcade style dungeon crawler. Ragnarok Battle Offline. Multiplayer enabled dungeon crawlers with customizable characters is seriously the shits.

Sis played a round or two before I rage kicked her off for her utter noobness that got me killed.

Reminds me of my old days on Ragnarok Online, the classic 5v5 tournaments, epic WoEs and best of all the massive 20 man GvGs. I swear that game ate a good two years of my life lol.

another discovery!

A quick look at my anime list on anidb.net surprised me. It shows I have roughly wasted about 2 months of my life watching anime :). And this does not include the time that took me for looked them up/search for them/download them and finally watch them xD.

the day i discovered that connex staff are fags

Started the day by travelling to Melbourne university to attend the Neap headstart specialist 2-day program. Met up with friends afterwards and bummed around MC/QV until my presence was required at box hill. So I stupidly trained to box hill with an zone 1 metlink card.

The evil connex staff refused my entry to box hill as I did not have the correct ticket. Many people walked through easily without a ticket while I, a law abiding citizen who had a ticket was pulled over. They saw a glimpse of my driver’s license before I had the chance to bolt. (not that I was going to anyway, there were like 8 officers surprisingly, all guarding the flipping entrance.) So my details got taken down and I despised connex ever since and vowed revenge.

Didn't do much afterwards, talked a bit with friends then left for home. Had katsu chicken bento box for dinner and started this blog.
